The summer I discovered the truth

Conrad grew up believing that he had a normal life, the only child of a lovely couple. Since he was young, he fell in love with cello and found in music a way to relax. He practiced for hours, dreaming of sharing his talent with the world.

The day before his eighteenth birthday, his parents were returning from a business trip when the boat that they were on board shipwrecked, and no one survived. To deal with the pain, Conrad took refuge in music and transformed his suffering into art. He started sharing his talent with the world and one day he received an invitation: to play cello at the most famous circus in the country.

On the night of the show, Conrad moved the audience with his performance. When he finished, everyone stood up to applaud. Among the crowd, a couple came closer to congratulate him. There was something strange about them: a look full of emotion that he could not explain. The woman, almost unable to hold back her tears, and the man, with a gentle smile, asked him for a moment alone.
It was then that they revealed the secret that would change Conrad’s life forever: they were his real parents.

They confessed that years earlier, they had been forced to make an impossible decision: to pursue their dream of opening a circus, even though they could not raise their newborn twin boys at the same time. With hearts full of sorrow and feeling completely devastated, the couple entrusted their eldest child to their longtime friends, hoping to be reunited with him when life allowed. However, they were unprepared for those friends to betray their trust and disappear with the baby.

Soon after, Conrad discovered that he had a twin brother named Jeremiah and realized that his entire life had been built on secrets and betrayal. Despite the shock, he forgave his biological parents and, feeling sentimental, agreed to restore the lost bonds with his family. Together with Jeremiah, the twins formed a musical duo, letting their music bring them closer. For the first time, he felt that his music had found a new purpose: to reunite a family separated by fate.

A series of unfortunate events

All the girls had decided to go and watch Olivia Rodrigo's concert in Lisbon. Gordon's brother gracefully agreed to drive them there since he had just gotten his driver’s license and wanted to practice.

The plan was to meet up at 9 a.m at the bus station (unfortunately Gordon was late, and they only left at 9:43 a.m), survive the three-hour trip, arrive at 1 p.m., have lunch and then enjoy the concert. Everything was going accordingly, until...

- Is that a burning house? - Bea said over the blasting music.
- No, I think it's a barn. - said Maria.
- Yeah, look! The donkeys are running away! - Gordon exclaimed. They kept on driving when suddenly, the van's door slammed open and Inês almost fell off the car. Trying to help, Gordon attempted to close the door. Meanwhile, her brother got distracted by all of that mess and crashed into a nearby tree. Henrique tried to start the car again and shouted in disbelief:
- I can't believe we are stranded in the middle of the woods! There is no way we are going to make it!
- Calm down! We'll find a way. - said Inês calmly - There must be a tow nearby.
- I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but there is no cellphone service - said Maria. In the meantime, Bea took a walk to clear her head, when out of nowhere, she screamed:
- Guys! Look at the donkeys! They have saddles.
- There is no way I'm getting on THAT... - said Gordon nauseously.
- And they smell. - added Inês.
- C'mon guys! We paid a boatload of money to go to this concert. - Bea said.
- Fine, I'm only doing this for Olivia. - Gordon caved. They got on the donkeys and began the ride. Halfway through, the donkeys started to get hectic and began to race each other. Everyone got frightened by the speed of the donkeys, but eventually they made it on time to the concert and handed over the donkeys to the authorities.
-I can't believe we just did that. - said Gordon.
- Me too. - agreed Inês.
- Wait guys! Someone is going on stage. - affirmed Maria.
- OMG! It's about to start - Bea exclaimed. "We regret to inform you that, unfortunately, Olivia Rodrigo couldn't make it. We're very sorry for the inconvenience and in her place Xutos e Pontapés will perform."- announced the speakers.
- I can't believe we did all of this for nothing! - complained Inês.
- Wait! This wasn't for nothing. Plus in ten years we will have something to laugh about. - Maria pointed out.
- On the bright side, we get to see Xutos! - Gordon said - I love them!
- Yeah, and we got to ride donkeys! - Bea added. They all laughed in unison and had a blast at the concert.
